On the field…

Boys play baseball for fun, to win, and to hit grand slams!  Girls go to baseball games to watch the players, chat with their friends, and to watch the players :)   A few years ago, I attended some of the local baseball games, in which Anthony just happened to be one of the boys on the team, who my friends and I were watching!  Anthony’s family was usually the loudest in the stands cheering for him and making people want to get excited about the game.  He seemed extremely focused on the game, and not too interested in the girls on the sidelines.  It was many months before we actually spoke that my best friend Sarah suggested that I should date him, and I never thought it would be in my “game plan.”

Off the field…

Anthony’s baseball team has a yearly fundraiser in order to help pay for some of their uniforms and equipment.  Having friends on the team got me an invite to the same bar where Anthony was going to be supporting his team.  After a few drinks, in order to shake some of my shyness, some friends took me over to start talking to him.  He was friendly and funny as we danced to the cupid shuffle; but again, did not seem interested.  We parted our ways, and I waited a few days for him to “friend” me on facebook.  When that didn’t happen, I became impatient and “friended” him.  There wasn’t much communication and I had pretty much given up until about a month later when he “liked” my profile picture and sent me a random message.  After we messaged back and forth a few times, he FINALLY asked me out…and we have been inseparable ever since our first date! He now tells me that he knew he wanted to marry me after that first date. J

 Forever…

I never thought this kind of love really existed, but am completely blessed to have found it.  I can not wait to see where our love story takes us after our wedding in August of 2012!!
